First fundamental value towards success
To achieve greater success in life, one of the fundamental values a person has to possess is:
"Integrity"
There was a quote saying (Mark Twain):
"To hide a lie, a thousand lies are needed. If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything."
What happens is that when a person lies, the other person listening to the story would 75% of the time be able to tell if that person is speaking the truth, through their facial expression, gesture, and speech and text regularity.
When a person is recognised in possessing strong moral values in handling every matter, trust can then be built, and that person will eventually become a trusted brand (to work with) to anyone.
And Oprah Winfrey once said:
"Real Integrity is doing the right thing knowing that nobody is going to know whether you did it or not."
Checklists:
A. Does the listener's facial expression look doubtful while listening?
B. Did most listener probe for more details with numerous questions?
C. Is there any reduction of people wanting to work with you?
D. Is there anyone avoiding communication with you?
If your answers are NO to the above questions, Congratulations on being a people person! You are one step nearer to being successful with the recognition from people around you!
